Hello from the other side of the postcard!

Group of people sitting and standing at the Trocadéro Gardens with the Eiffel Tower in the background, in Paris, France.
The image has the word "Bienvenue!" written in cursive on a black background.

I’m Missy — a French teacher and mom turned wanderer with a camera, forever chasing the small moments that make the world feel big. Guiding high school students and my own children across continents has taught me that wonder is contagious; every time they see something for the first time, I feel that spark right along with them.

Those wide‑eyed moments — the gasp beneath a cathedral’s arches, the laughter echoing down a cobblestone street, the hush that falls when church bells ring out on the hour — remind me to slow down, savor the moment, and stay curious.

Travel has a way of waking up your soul, turning silence into stories, and offering tiny lessons in every corner of the map. My camera is simply how I gather those lessons. Every photograph in this gallery carries a story, a sliver of light, and a student whose joie de vivre nudged me to see the world with fresh eyes.

Wander with wonder. Learn with love. See beyond the postcard.

It’s the heartbeat of my work — and the way I move through the world, camera at the ready, anticipating the next adventure.

Can’t wait to share my world Beyond the Postcard!

The image features cursive text that reads, "Love, Missy," with a small heart symbol at the end of the phrase.
